Tenacious Bee Collective
About Tenacious Bee Collective
Tenacious Bee Collective is a community-driven initiative founded in 2018 in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, by Kunal Singh and Malini Kochupillai. The organization focuses on ethically harvesting raw, unpasteurized Himalayan honey while promoting sustainable beekeeping practices to support dwindling bee populations in the Western Himalayas. With a small team, the company engages in beekeeping, rural innovation, and community building, addressing challenges like pesticide use and low support prices for beekeepers.
The collective produces and sells raw, unpasteurized Himalayan honeys and beeswax apothecary products, including herbal salves, lip balms, and candles. These products are ethically sourced in small batches and are available through premium retail chains and customized gifting options. Additionally, Tenacious Bee Collective offers consulting services to encourage local investment in beekeeping and conducts community activities and workshops to promote biodiversity and sustainable practices. The initiative aims to foster job opportunities and support rural mountain communities while engaging in dialogues on various social and environmental issues.
