The University Institute of Technology (UIT) is a state government-funded engineering institute located in Summer Hill, Shimla, India, on the campus of Himachal Pradesh University. Established in 2000, UIT was originally named the University Institute of Information Technology and was renamed in 2020 to reflect its expanded engineering programs.
UIT offers B.Tech. degree programs in five engineering disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
