Established in 1925 by two Irish Christian Brothers, St. Edward's School, Milsington is reckoned among the best and oldest schools in Shimla. The school is managed by Simla Chandigarh Educational Society under the Bishop of Simla Chandigarh Diocese. Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, the school offers classes from Nursery through class XII with English as the medium of instruction.

Campus
The 4 acre St. Edward's School campus hosts well lit classrooms with ample display boards for art exhibition. The school auditorium serves as an arena for co-curricular activities such as debates, quiz programmes, seminars, annual concerts etc. Well-equipped laboratories have been provides for subjects like mathematics, science, geography and computers.

The school also hosts a well-stocked library, a basketball court and three play fields for its students.
