School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) extends into College of Engineering & Technology (COET) and University Polytechnic.

College of Engineering and Technology(COET) is constituent college of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University. Established in the year 2007, College of Engineering and Technology has created the infrastructure to impart engineering education in a record time of six months. COET has become one of the premier learning centre in the field of engineering.

COET is currently engaging more than 1000 future engineers in different courses from different regions of the state.Various Workshops and Seminars are held through out the year involving academic and industry experts . Various B.Tech courses offered by the college are :

B.Tech in Civil Engineering
B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering
B.Tech in Information Technology and Engineering

The University has unique distinction of having established the first Centrally funded Polytechnic in collaboration with the J&K State Government. The need of Polytechnic was felt on account of nonavailability of any such institute in the region at that time which could meet the great market demand for skilled middle level engineers.

Many young school pass-outs who do not have the means or aptitude to pursue higher studies run from pillar to post in search of vocational training to acquire some skill for making a living. The skilled work force that the University Polytechnic is generating is meeting this demand.

The Polytechnic imparts technical education through Diploma courses in : l Electronics & Communication Engineering l Electrical Engineering l Mechanical Engineering l Civil Engineering Each Diploma course is of 3 years duration, consisting of 6 semesters during which training is provided through classroom lectures, laboratory work and workshop practice.
