About IIT Mandi Catalyst
IIT Mandi Catalyst is a Technology Business Incubator established in 2016 at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. As the first incubator in the state, it aims to create a sustainable "startup valley" by attracting high-tech startups from across India. The initiative is supported by the Central and State Governments, along with funding from IIT Mandi and private donors.
The incubator offers a comprehensive program for early-stage startups, covering ideation, prototyping, product development, and commercialization. Key programs include Ignite for idea validation, Exploration for startups at the prototyping stage, and Investment Readiness to prepare startups for funding. IIT Mandi Catalyst focuses on sectors such as HealthTech, EduTech, FinTech, AgroTech, BioTech, and Renewable Energy, while also welcoming interdisciplinary and emerging tech domains. With over 530 startups incubated and 270 funded, it actively supports entrepreneurs aiming for economic and social impact, particularly those addressing challenges in the Himalayan region.
