Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) is a public state university located in Summer Hill, Shimla, India. Established on July 22, 1970, it is the only multi-faculty, residential, and affiliating university in Himachal Pradesh. HPU is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university spans 200 acres and features distinctive architecture across four campuses.

HPU offers over 600 academic programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and doctoral levels in various fields, including engineering, management, law, commerce, sciences, arts, and medical studies. The university serves a diverse student population, including urban, rural, and tribal communities, and supports research and international collaborations.
