The Community Empowerment Organization for Rural Development is a non profit organisation for community mobilization to achieve the aim and objectives of society. HP Mid Himalyan Watershed Development Project a World Bank funded project started in 10 district of Himachal Pradesh during 2005. In Chamba district it is being implemented in 46 panchayats out of 283 panchayats of the district. 139 SHGs are formed by the project with the membership of more than 1600.To frame an apex body of SHGs to co-ordinate all livelihood activities right from arrangement of quality raw material immediate payment to members for their products standardization of products obtaining licences like CST FPO PAN etc and proper marketing strategy for sustainable demand of products.
